This Chapter...
Wow! What a year. Busy, busy. Wife, mom, Bibi, scuba diver, writer, artist, baker and gardener. Applied for Social Security in November. Took the plunge and joined Winston-Salem Writers Group in December. Needed the accountability. Attended their amazing Character Development workshop in January and learned so much about my characters in a few hours! Also, dug a little deeper into ancestry to research for my book. Took a fabulous diving holiday in Roatan, Hondurus in February. Pleased to have completed the coursework and dives for the advanced certifications as Adventure Open Water Diver and for Nitrox certification! Closed my coaching business in March. Traveling to a PIR Ceremony for our youngest in March and continue to write along the way. Current project is adventure / science fiction. Excited to see how this all unfolds. Journey to Joy
I am just a girl running up hills, training for a better story. Writer, Artist, Scuba Diver, Wife, Mom, Bibi. Lover of the wild and precious people who drift in and out of my life. Story collector. We all have value and we can make positive changes to be better versions of ourselves and live the lives we were created to live (with love). We each have our own stories that evolve over time, as we experience joy and love and grief and ups and downs, challenges and set-backs and success. Life, if we let it, will teach us to love better, to live better and to show empathy to those who are going through their own storms.
As I my journey continues, I have made some adjustments to my sails, taken off in new directions, ended chapters and started new chapters. After years of working I have made the decision (thank you Kevin for your support and encouragement) to retire and pursue new adventures, write, and be creative - however that looks! I am writing the book. Off we go now, forging ahead with new found courage to live wholeheartedly and to love extravagantly. It is time to give ourselves permission to take care of ourselves and continue on our individual and collective journeys to joy.
